It was was fine and sunny when we left Fukidashi Park for the Shinsen Marsh.
However, it turned very misty and visibility was down to about 10 metres. We had to turn on headlights and drove at a crawl speed of about 15kph.
It was a very very scarey experience.
After what seemed like hours and a million kilometres, we reached this carpark to take a stress break, and found that it was the carpark for visitors to the Marsh. Whew!
Took the boardwalk which was being replaced in parts, for about a kilometre into forests and brushland until we came upon marshland and water everywhere.
It was a very beautiful experience standing in the mist in the marsh.
Back to the carpark where the mist seemed to have cleared a bit and with hearts in mouths, we inched downhill at a snail's pace.
It was very misty on the way down the mountains.
