Day 4 - Rusutsu to Otaru

Here we are in the lobby of the Toya Maseikaku Hotel with our three Tour guides, hosts, mother hens, Scout Masters - Lance, Yuki and Meng; taken just before breakfast.

We had a very memorable day today. The day's first stop was a poor choice of an itinerary stop; it was just a plant nursery, and a small one at that. The Dutch Windmill, Fraser's and Waldecks at Kingsley in Perth are much much more interesting.

Decided to skip a scenic view spot next on itinerary in favour of the optional route's Fukidashi Park's spring - one of the "100 Best Water Sources".

The water which had seeped into the mountain for decades and gushes out here, is mineral-rich and a cool 6 degrees Centigade throughout the year.

It tastes very clean, fresh, good and nice; much better than Evian.

Many people collect the water and bring it home every day for cooking and drinking.

Channels with "outlet holes" and drinking cups have been provided for visitors to drink this pure water.

If you haven't brought along a bottle, you can buy water bottles and containers of various capacities from the souvenier shops.

Here's the good ol' Prius.
