Starting our descent

On our descent, we met climbers ascending. There were a few descenders too and generally they were faster than us and overtaking us easily.

Here's another large tour group of climbers going up. And they're all hugging the inside of the path where it feels safer besides giving better wind protection.

Beyond this group, there's yet another group. Seems on a good weekend, there could be as much as 30,000 people on the mountainside!

See the bulldozer's crawler trackmarks on the supply vehicle's path that's much steeper than the path for humans.

And right there are the public toilets with their water supplies. Coin operated, 100 yen.

The climb up Mt Fuji is not such a difficult exercise. Look at these little tykes taking it in their stride.

Click on last photo and see what someone left behind. The sole of a boot. In the centre of the photo.
