The first 60 or so kilometres were through farm country with views of harvested fields, hillslopes of plots of different crops making this "patchwork country" and farm buildings.
Then to Hinode Park. It's a municipal park atop a hill. While following the GPS (to the foothill carpark), we met Lance on a side road and he advised that we take that route. Which led us to the top of the hill for a good view of the park and whole countryside. Saved us a trudge up the hill!
Couldn't resist taking a shot of this Bride as she took a breather. She was with her Groom, just the two of them, photographing themselves.
Leaving the park, we saw more farm country and farming activities, like the harvesting in the photos below. They look very much better if you click to enlarge them.
