One hour and forty minutes later we reached our starting point ie Fifth Station, and gave our sticks to two elderly Japanese women climbers.
Here's a part of their large group togging up for their ascent.
Made a quick check to determine departure time and embarkation location of last express bus returning to Shinjuku. It was where bus is parked in this photo.
We went for a bowl of ramen and a cup of Cappucino. And a restroom break. See the 100Yen donation box?
Then a snap of Mt Fuji summit which was slowly being covered by clouds. There was snow on part of the upper slope and you can see this more clearly if you click to enlarge the photograph.
Almost missed our bus as we didn't pay attention to the time. Just about 6 passengers going back.
Going back in 2009 to climb to the summit.
