more of Ling Ying temple

The statues are very well smoothened and oiled by being touched by tourists all suckered by the belief of good fortune if they touch the statues.

That's Jackie our tour guide above ointing out the ledge where priests used to sleep on, and gullible tourists touching it for luck, and picking up germs in the process; unlike the smart guy (photo below) who was well prepared in work gloves!

Those are sculpted engavings of bats, clouds and lotus flower (above).

There was something about this little gazebo but I forgot what it was. Still, had to be in it for the good fortune. And touched it too like the rest. Just look at all the smoothened dark parts.

Here's a snacks and refreshments kiosk, with customers at the front buying the stuff that's being prepared at the rear of the kiosk, on the ground! Look at the very popular seen everywhere in China hot water flasks. Can you see some of them in the carpark? (Click on last photo above). And those low stools; Chinese prefer to sit on low stools instead of regular height chairs. Easier to cart around could be a reason.
