it's TOKYO once more

After 3 nights in Osaka, we went for another 4 nights in Tokyo.

Trundled our luggage bags, one large and two small ones ie those that just about can be forced into that carry-on bag-measuring cage, all the way back to Gate 11 at the Yodoyobashi Station for a short ride to Shin Osaka Station where we took the bullet Shinkansen to Tokyo Station. There we transferred to a local JR train for a 4-stop ride to Umeda Station for a 3-stop ride on the Ginza Line to Asakusa Station. Then a 20-minute walk to Chisun Inn. It's a 3-star hotel with everything essential and necessary and very courteous, helpful and always smiling staff. Location Map.



There's a well sheltered entrance porch, lobby, reception and restaurant on the ground floor. The restaurant has outside tables for smokers (but it's still smoking allowed inside) on a nice patio. The street footpath cum cycle track is usually quiet and uncrowded despite this being a major road.

It was back to the Nakamise shopping streets near the Asakusa Kannon Temple that we visited on day 2 of this trip to Japan. This time round we spent more time in the side streets with the wife directing - we go up this side, right till the end, u-turn, all the way across the intersection, to back here, then into main road till next side street. Ok, ok, just lead on.



Straight into a Japanese home-made candy shoppe. The shops had very interesting frontages and facades and all in they do present a pretty picture.






You'll always find drink dispensing machines everywhere. Very useful and convenient. Besides lighting up the roadsides at night.
