We took a path which wound upwards until we reached this park shelter on a little knoll. The path must have been along uninteresting areas as I don't have photographs to record the walk. Left us panting a bit though.
Anyhow, Huei Lock said that that was the highest point in the park; that tour groups were not brought there because the route wasn't greatly interesting, besides being a little off the main parts of the park.
He pointed out the second highest point where tour groups are fetched to.
If you squint real hard, or better yet, click to enlarge this photo (above), you can see that point (on which sits a park shelter) and the hordes of tourists.
It's just below the curve of the rightmost bamboo stem in that clump just left of centre in the photo.
While you've got the photo enlarged, do scroll around and you'll see many parts of the landscape which was truly very interesting.
