No change in Lock except for a bit (ahem) of a beer belly.
Still smokin' like a chimney, contributing to China's polluted air.
In the pink of health (according to him).
With local souvenier seller in Lion's Cave (bottom left).
And (bottom) with Siow Mei his constant companion who hails from SzeChuan.
Here's Siow Mei outside the gate to the Reservoir which we didn't get in to see 'cause had to pay, and it didn't seem like anything worth paying for.
At a countryside place called Roc Cafe or something like that (top right), at a restaurant in Dali (above), and in Siow Wang's uncle's apartment in KunMing (left).
Lock's apartment is at the Hong City Plaza Service Apartments.
The main entrance is up those three steps to the elephant's right.
Every morning, these guys sell breakfast noodles, pau, cookies, bread, cakes, etc at the entrance of the building.
Very convenient for residents getting out to go to work, as well as for those coming to work in the offices ... yup, there are offices besides residences, in this building.
This is a very pleasant and very wide walkway across the street which is along one side of the building.
A major road (in the distance in photo) is along another side of the building.
Lock’s place is actually two apartments with the intervening wall removed, and a mezzanine floor added, thanks to the high original ceiling.
These stairs (above) lead to the mezzanine floor bedroom (left) with full-width cupboards on one side ....
.... and full-width floor to ceiling windows on the opposite side.
There is another flight of steps to another mezzanine floor bedroom which is above the kitchen.
Both these bedroom have inside windows overlooking the living room.
The view, looking left out the windows.
The view from the living room windows (full room width and two stories tall!)
