Lake Toya

Our hotel was on the shore of Lake Toya which has a promenade dotted with about 40 sculptures.

Is that a real bird?

The figures in the two photos (above) were created with gravel of different colours!

I thought this 'triangular' porch was very unique, unlike those regular rectangular ones that are a dime a dozen. And creative too, the three signs that fold around the corner; the bench to fit that bit of pavement, and the 'closed' sign that's hanging and not stuck on the door as in most cases.

Now do this : click on the next photo ie the one with the smiley faces on the pink background, and slowly take your time to check out everything from left to right as though you're walking along the shopfront. I could have cropped the photo but that would take the fun out of your 'walk'. Try it.

Early morning rubbish collection by a vehicle that plays a a jingling tune like an ice cream van (above).

Guess who's in the window on the right hand side in the second photo above? Click photo to enlarge it and see for yourself.

Strange location for a no parking in that direction sign. You have to click on it to enlarge to see what I mean.

I just had to snap that white van which had a rear window that was shunted to its left.

And this is a hotspring water footsoak bath outside the hotel.
