The first photo shows three lead walkers with lanterns on tall poles. The wheeled Float is pulled by these tiny creatures, many of whom have other things on their minds.
A last minute adjustment of headgear, and off they went, drummers in the Float beating an encouraging rhythm.
And there they went, thrilling people along their way. And here's one of the little people tired and thankful for Mum's help. Another Mom and daughters talking about what went by.
That's the missus - Penny, with friend and fellow member of our tour group. Jannieke was from the Netherlands, on her 4th visit to Japan.
That's one of the many shopfront stalls selling tidbits, and a visitor to their stall. The kimono is a very beautiful costume, don't you think?
