Checked into Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en . It has very well landscaped grounds. The premises, facilities and our room were very clean. The public hotbaths were great. We had a good supper of noodles at the noodle shop which opens only after 6pm (or was it 8pm?). Provisions may be obtained from an economical Convenient Shop next door.
Not surprisingly, it is very well reviewed.
